Spring Break Day 2

Day 2 of Spring Break was so much fun! We got up, got ready and went to get Ryan to take him to lunch for his birthday. Ryan, however, suffered from an allergy attack the whole time. He was a good sport and I think he enjoyed his birthday lunch.

Rylee, Caleb and I cam home, picked up a little and made Ryan's favorite sugar and cream cheese cookies. They were very delicious and gone! Ryan called about 3:00 and said that he felt too bad to stay at work and was headed home. It was nice to have him home early, but the poor guy was miserable. I cooked him his favorite dinner, baked chicken, and we had a great dinner.

He loved his change box, we made him and he already has 30 cents in it. For his birthday, I took care of getting the two little ones bathed and in bed and we enjoyed American Idol. Day two was great.

Spring Break Day 1

Spring Break has been great so far. Rylee and I worked on making Ryan a box for all of his change that he saves. We painted it blue, glued a football on it and wrote "Happy Birthday Daddy" on it. It really looks cute.

Rylee is working hard to learn how to potty. She is doing well. I'm very excited. It has taken a long time to even get her to sit on the potty so we are making a lot of progress. Rylee loves to paint and play with her animals, we do this all the time.
Caleb is just sticking to his schedule beautifully. I think that my anal retentiveness rubs off on my children. Oh well...

Tomorrow is Ryan's birthday. Rylee and I are getting up early to make his favorite cookies. Sugar cookies with cream cheese icing. YUM! Then we are going to get ready and go and pick him up for lunch. Tomorrow night, I am making his favorite dinner. Rice krispie baked chicken, it's the easiest thing in the world and the yummiest too. I also plan on cleaning the house so Ryan can come home to a very clean home on his birthday. YEAH for birthdays I love them.

Introduction

Hello everyone! My name is Kristen. I live in Texas and I am a junior high choir director. I know, I know, junior high, what am I thinking. Although I enjoy my job, it is not by any means my life. I am married to a wonderful man, Ryan. We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter Rylee, and a 2 month old son Caleb. Hinse, the RKRC initials in our blog name. We are a happy family, although we have our moments.

I started back to work three weeks ago, since Caleb was born. I thought it was going to be harder than it was, but truth be told, I'm so busy, I don't get a chance to think about how much I miss my children during the day. We are getting ready for UIL contest at work, so I am really busy trying to get beginner singers ready for judges. My mother stays home with my kids, God bless her! It is such a comforting thought to leave your children with someone you know is going to love them as much as you do.

Rylee is adorable. We are in the middle of potty training. I need help! Caleb smiles all the time and he is growing well.

I'm exciting to be blogging. I hope you enjoy.
